I totally didn't forget to write about this. CrossCode is a rather intriguing RPG that has a style from the SNES era with obvious improvements.

I've been looking forward to trying out Balrum since seeing it on a crowdfunding site some time ago, and now it has had a day-1 release on Linux I got a chance to play with it.

Pony Island has been out for a while (since January 4th, actually) and it has proved to be a very interesting game, getting extremely positive reviews by both critics and Steam users alike.

Paint the Town Red features the aesthetics of Thirty Flights of Loving, the pace of Eldritch and the absurdly deranged violence of Hotline Miami and Postal 2.

The game, as of the day this article was written, holds "overwhelmingly positive" reviews on Steam, so you may want to give it a chance and spend at least a few minutes playing it. You don't have to pay anything, you simply download it (only 8 MB) and load it in mere seconds. It's very easy to learn but a bit tricky to master.

Arehandoro sent word in about Totem Teller, and wow it looks really something. Totem Teller is an open world adventure. The player explores, repairs and retells a broken story. Uncover lost characters and hidden things. Truth is in the Telling.

The amazing and unique "logistics simulator" where you build massive convoluted factories while fending off hordes of insect aliens is finally coming to Steam on 25th February!

I've been having a bit of fun with Battlestation: Harbinger for the last few days, and I've actually found it to be a pretty good mix of mix of roguelike, action, strategy and more.

Originally due for release days ago, but the developer delayed it due to the big Steam sale. NeonXSZ has been worked on by the developer for four years!

This past week I played a small game by an interesting character who goes by Kitty Horrorshow. To call her games horror in a conventional video game sense would be misleading. They're abstract, graphically primitive, albeit striking, and tend to leave me with a lingering sense of dread and loneliness, as well as a sense of otherworldly wonder.

Shadwen looks awesome, and I'm going to be honest I hadn't heard of it until it was sent it. Shadwen is a true stealth game where the only rule is to remain unseen. Stay hidden – or the ruthless guards will kill you on sight! Looks like it's coming to Linux too.

Mixing funk and forklifts in an unusual combination, Funklift is a local multiplayer game still under development. Due to friendly prodding, the developers have also released alpha builds for Linux.

We Are Legion is a small indie strategy game with no unit caps, so you could end up with millions of units going at it. Sounds fun, but the graphics are pretty low-res.
